Julian Justvan moved to TSG Hoffenheim from SC Paderborn on 1 July 2023. The winger has penned a contract with Hoffenheim until the summer of 2027. “Julian drew attention to himself through his strong performances for SC Paderborn in the second division. He is very fast, technically strong and his outstanding ratio of goal involvements for his position speaks for itself. He is a very exciting player who is left-footed but can play on both sides and therefore brings an interesting component to our squad. It says a lot about him that he is initially willing to take on the role of challenger in our team. I believe that he can be a real surprise next season," said Alexander Rosen at the presentation. Justvan, who came through the ranks at TSV 1860 Munich, moved to SC Paderborn in 2020 and immediately established himself as a regular. He made his mark on the second-tier club's attacking play, scoring five goals and setting up eight others in 34 second-division appearances in the 2022/23 season. In addition, he scored two goals and provided two assists in three DFB-Pokal games.
