Short description

The Stuttgart native moved to TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2022, but was already familiar with the club: he represented the Kraichgau outfit at U19 and U23 level from 2013 to 2015, helping the U19s to become German champions in 2014. Prömel then switched to Karlsruher SC, where he not only matured as a footballer but experienced an early career highlight too. The midfielder was selected by Horst Hrubesch to represent his country at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where he made four appearances as Germany claimed silver. A move to Union Berlin followed in 2017. He helped the Kӧpenick club gain promotion to the Bundesliga two years later and even qualify for European competition too.
