Short description
Japanese international Koki Machida immediately caused a stir on his first European stop. After spending his youth and early years in professional football at home with Kashima Antlers, the 1.90 metre tall defender moved to Belgium to join Union Saint-Gilloise in January 2022. Machida, who has already won the AFC Champions League in Japan, played 114 games for the Belgians. He won the cup with Saint-Gilloise in 2024 and the championship the following year before moving to TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2025.
