Short description

The Brazilian centre-back first left his home country in January 2016 when he moved from RB Brasil to RB Salzburg in Austria. However, he only stayed there for six months before RB Leipzig brought Bernardo to the Bundesliga. After two years with the Saxons, the robust defender moved to the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion. After another stint with RB Salzburg, he returned to the Bundesliga with VfL Bochum. Bernardo, who was born in Sao Paulo, moved from the Ruhr region to TSG Hoffenheim in Kraichgau.
