Paul Hennrich signs professional contract

Paul Hennrich has been on the books at TSG Hoffenheim since 2020. And now, the 20-year-old attacking player is looking to take the next steps in his career. Following his transfer from the SV Elversberg youth setup, he first played for the TSG U17s before then spending two seasons with the U19s. In the 2023/24 season, the versatile Hennrich established himself as an absolute key performer, notching eight goals and nine assists in 20 appearances in the U19 Bundesliga Süd/Südwest. In the Final Round of the German Championship, he scored three goals in the semi-final against Mönchengladbach and added another goal in the final against Borussia Dortmund to help his team towards the title. Hennrich also played an active role in the DFB-Pokal victory that same year, scoring two goals en route to the final.

The following season held further highlights in store for the left-footed player from Saarlouis. He helped the U23s to the Regionalliga Südwest title by scoring nine goals and registering nine assists, while also making his Bundesliga debut for TSG in front of 81,365 spectators in Dortmund (1-1) in December. Now he has the chance to prove himself long-term in the 3. Liga and to showcase himself for further Bundesliga appearances.
