Short description
In the summer of 2022, Germany youth international Joshua Quarshie transferred from the Rot-Weiss Essen youth set-up to TSG Hoffenheim, where he was initially part of the Regionalliga team’s plans. The 1.96m-tall central defender was a regular there but soon drew the Bundesliga team’s attention too. He made his top-flight debut when he came on as a substitute in the final minutes against VfL Wolfsburg on 12 November 2022. Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo promoted him to the first team in the summer of 2023.
