Baumgartner nominated for Goal of the Month

TSG Hoffenheim scored many beautiful goals throughout the month of August. Christoph Baumgartner's flick to open the scoring away to Bayer 04 Leverkusen even made the five-name shortlist for the best goal in Germany in August, according to ARD-Sportschau. The TSG player was nominated alongside Robin Hack (Arminia Bielefeld), John Verhoek (Hansa Rostock), Vincent Müller (MSV Duisburg) and Ramy Bensebaini (Borussia Mönchengladbach).

Serge Gnabry is the only previous TSG player to win the award. His thumping volley against RB Leipzig was voted the Goal of the Month in December 2017.

Geiger makes Team of the Round

A deserved reward for a strong performance: Dennis Geiger was named in the "BILD" Team of the Round following the 1-0 victory over FC Augsburg. The midfielder scored the only goal in the 38th minute with a left-footed shot that rounded off a lovely move. Many congratulations, Dennis!
