Mali and Samassékou in the round of 16
Diadie Samassékou's journey at the Africa Cup of Nations continues: the TSG midfielder has won Group E with the Mali national team and will now face Burkina Faso in the round of 16. Samassékou played in one group game. The 28-year-old's campaign continues on Tuesday (30 January). The match will kick off at 18:00 CET.

Beier in the Team of the Round
He scored the first goal and then scored the second himself: Maximilian Beier put in a strong performance in the 3-2 defeat in Freiburg and was named in the Team of the Round by both kicker and BILD. Sportschau also honoured Beier with a nomination. Congratulations, Maxi!
