DFB-Pokal: Baden-derby in the last 16
The draw for the DFB-Pokal round of 16 was conducted on the ARD-Sportschau on Sunday evening. TSG Hoffenheim will face SC Freiburg in the last 16 of the competition, with the tie to be played on 18 or 19 January 2022.
Peter Zimmermann of SG Ahrtal was the man to draw TSG's opponent in the DFB-Pokal last 16, and the Kraichgau club will now face regional rivals SC Freiburg in the next round. Coach Christian Streich's team are unbeaten in the Bundesliga so far this season. The men from Freiburg were however taken to a penalty shootout by third-tier VfL Osnabrück in the second round of the competition.
TSG's DFB-Pokal round of 16 tie will be played at the PreZero Arena on 18 or 19 January 2022. The precise date and kick-off time will be announced soon.
