TSG Hoffenheim extend with Fisnik Asllani long-term

Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim have prematurely extended Fisnik Asllani's contract, which was set to expire in June 2026. The 22-year-old striker and top scorer in the 2. Bundesliga last season has signed a new long-term contract in the Kraichgau.

"Fisnik is a highly talented striker who more than just hinted at his potential during his loan spell with SV Elversberg last season. His goals and assists speak for themselves. He definitely used his time in the Saarland to take the next step in his development. The loan has therefore completely paid off for all parties," said Andreas Schicker, the Managing Director of Sport for TSG. "Fisnik's development and his strong performances in the second division have naturally not gone unnoticed by many other clubs – he has coveted great interest from various teams. That makes us all the more delighted that he has now decide with full conviction on a future at TSG. We're absolutely convinced that he will take the next steps in his career with us and that he will bring us all a great deal of joy in the future."

"I'm very happy to have extended my contract with TSG Hoffenheim," said Fisnik Asllani of his contract extension in Kraichgau, adding: "Following my loan spells over the past two years, I simply had the feeling that my journey with Hoffenheim was far from finished. I'm highly motivated and I now want to assert myself at TSG and prove myself in the Bundesliga. I know the club, many of the players in the squad and all the staff at TSG. All of this will make my return easier, meaning that I can concentrate fully on the sporting side of things from now on."

Fisnik Asllani joined the TSG academy from Union Berlin in the summer of 2020 and debuted in the Bundesliga back in November 2021, making the first of his 10 appearances to date for Hoffenheim. The 22-year-old striker has played a total of 53 games for the TSG reserves, scoring 17 goals and notching nine assists. The forward spent last season on loan at second-tier outfit Elversberg and established himself as an absolute rising star in the Saarland. Asllani scored 18 times and set up an additional nine goals across 33 league appearances. That record saw the attacker crowned as the second division's top scorer last season, in which he contributed to Elversberg reaching the play-offs and despite another goal and assist from Asllani only narrowly missing out on promotion to the Bundesliga in the end. Back in the 2023/24 campaign, Asllani had been loaned to Austrian top-flight team Austria Vienna, for whom he made 16 appearances in the league, three in the European play-offs and two in the ÖFB-Cup. Asllani scored a total of five goals and set up another during his time in Austria.

Asllani, who has Kosovan citizenship as well as German, made his debut for the Kosovo senior national team in September 2024. Since then, the 22-year-old striker has made five appearances for his second homeland. Prior to that, he had made seven international appearances for the Germany U20s (three goals) and two for the U18s (one goal).
