Season over for Nordtveit

TSG Hoffenheim will be without Håvard Nordtveit for the season run-in. The 30-year-old is suffering from foot problems and will miss the rest of the season. That means the defender will not be part of the TSG squad attending the quarantine training camp imposed by the DFL over the coming weeks. "Howie has been a reliable leader on and off the pitch throughout a demanding season. He has shown persistence and made himself available to the team despite recurring issues with his foot, which cannot be praised highly enough and is an accurate depiction his mentality," said Alexander Rosen, director of football at TSG Hoffenheim. The injury now requires "unconditional rest, so we've decided to let him travel to his family in Norway ahead of schedule. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him fit again ahead of the new season," added Rosen. In the past few days, Munas Dabbur has already travelled to his native Israel for private reasons. The striker will also not be part of the squad for the rest of this campaign due to the existing quarantine rules.
