Kramarić scores and assists, Tohumcu makes debut

13 TSG players were away with their countries in the first international window of 2024. Andrej Kramarić produced a good performance for Croatia, while several all-TSG clashes did not materialise. Meanwhile, Umut Tohumcu took the next step in his international career.

He came on, scored and assisted: Andrej Kramarić helped the Croatian national team to a 4-2 victory over Egypt. Following his introduction in the 68th minute, TSG's record goalscorer first found the net himself to make it 3-1 to his country and then set up Lovro Majer of Wolfsburg to make it 4-1 and seal the Egypt Capital Cup.

Oliver Baumann and Maximilian Beier experienced Germany's 2-1 victory against the Netherlands from the bench, while Wout Weghorst was subbed on for the Netherlands in the 75th minute. Florian Grillitsch and Ozan Kabak also did not go head-to-head on the pitch as Austria ran out 6-1 victors against Türkiye.

Umut Tohumcu made his debut for the highest youth category as the Germany U21s beat their Israeli counterparts 2-0. It was his 30th appearance in total for a youth national team. The TSG midfielder was bought on in the 80th minute.
