Dabbur moves to Dubai

Munas Dabbur is leaving Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim. The former Israel international is moving to the United Arab Emirates to join Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai football club. The 31-year-old striker's contract in the Kraichgau was set to run until 30 June 2024.

''Munas's time at TSG was marked by highs and lows. At several points he had injury battles which often left him sidelined for long periods. Despite that, over the past three-and-a-half years he still managed to score 29 goals for us and provided a constant attacking threat,'' says TSG managing director Alexander Rosen. "Nevertheless, when reflecting on such a gifted player at the end of our journey together, there is also a sense that more could have been possible. But in the end, we could always rely on him. Munas is a player of impeccable character, thoughtful and likeable, and we wish him all the best for his sporting and private future,'' adds Rosen.

Munas Dabbur moved to the Kraichgau from Spanish La Liga side FC Sevilla in January 2020. In total, he played 84 Bundesliga matches for TSG Hoffenheim (17 goals, eight assists), seven in the Europa League (six goals) and eight in the DFB-Pokal (six goals). With a goal and an assist in the final home game of last season, the 31-year-old had a big role to play as TSG surged to a 4-2 win over Union Berlin which ensured TSG's Bundesliga survival.
