Fabienne Dongus to remain TSG captain

Three TSG players make Team of the Round

TSG Hoffenheim impressed as a collective away to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday, producing a strong performance that earned three players a place in the Team of the Round. ARD-Sportschau nominated Christoph Baumgartner and Georginio in their selection, while "kicker" included Georginio and Ozan Kabak. All three made the team selected by BILD newspaper. Baumgartner fired TSG into the lead in Leverkusen with a back-flick, before Ozan Kabak doubled the advantage and Georginio netted a wonderful goal to round off the 3-0 victory. Congratulations, lads!

TSG to start DFB-Pokal campaign in Saarbrücken

The draw for the second round of the women's DFB-Pokal has pitted TSG against Regionalliga outfit 1. FC Saarbrücken, who claimed a 3-2 (3-1) victory against SV Hegnach in the first round of the competition. Like all the other top-flight teams and the four best-placed clubs from the women's 2. Bundesliga, head coach Gabor Gallai's side only enter the tournament at the second-round stage. The match against 1. FC Saarbrücken will take place between 10 and 12 September. The final will be held in Cologne on 18 May 2023.

Fabienne Dongus to remain TSG captain

Fabienne Dongus, who already captained the Hoffenheim Bundesliga team in the 2021/22 season, will also wear the armband in the coming campaign. The 28-year-old was re-elected following a vote held during the training camp. Defender Luana Bühler will be her deputy.
