TSG kick off training camp in Kitzbühel

On Monday, TSG Hoffenheim headed to Kitzbühel for a training camp that will last just under a week. Immediately after arriving in the afternoon, head coach André Breitenreiter summoned his team to the training pitch for the first session. TSG will be gearing up for the upcoming season until Sunday.

The start of training camp marks the point at which TSG Hoffenheim's summer preparations really start heating up. A total of 30 players made the trip to Kitzbühel, and they got to work right away on Monday afternoon after the six-hour bus journey. Following check-in at the hotel, the team travelled by bike to the nearby Sportplatz Langau complex, where perfect training conditions are guaranteed.

After a warm-up consisting of stretching and loosening up exercises, the group moved on to various passing drills. After that, the exercises became progressively more complex and intense. Finally, the players finished up with various games in which they had to go up against each other with either a numerical advantage/disadvantage. Again, the intensity levels were high for this activity. After 90 minutes, the coaching team brought the first session of training camp to a close.

"We have been very warmly welcomed here. The conditions are ideal. We're set to have a good week and will be able to get some intense work done," said André Breitenreiter after the session.

The team have a busy and intensive programme over the next few days, including two friendly matches (Wednesday, 18:00 CET against Puskás Akadémia and Saturday, 15:00 CET against US Salernitana).
