Personnel & tactics:
Head coach Sebastian Hoeness made three changes to the starting XI that lost 2-0 in Mainz last time out and brought in Florian Grillitsch, Diadie Samassékou and Christoph Baumgartner in place of Stefan Posch, Angelo Stiller and Andrej Kramarić. The back three protecting goalkeeper Oliver Baumann was formed by Kevin Vogt, Grillitsch and Benjamin Hübner, while Ihlas Bebou and David Raum kept their places in the wide roles. Samassékou played alongside Dennis Geiger in central defensive midfield, with Christoph Baumgartner in a slightly more advanced role. Munas Dabbur partnered Georginio up front.
TSG made a substitution for the first time in the 62nd minute, with the returning Pavel Kadeřábek replacing Georginio. Bebou pushed up into attack and Kadeřábek took his place at right-back. With a quarter of an hour remaining, Stefan Posch and Jacob Bruun Larsen entered the fray in place of Hübner and Bebou (74). In the closing stages, Sebastian Rudy and Håvard Nordtveit came on for Samassékou and Geiger (84).

The goal for 2-0: Georginio curls in a cross from the right which Ortega gets a hand to. Munas Dabbur crosses the ball back in towards the Frenchman, who controls it and fires high into the net with his left boot (51).

The 2-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld was Benjamin Hübner's 100th competitive appearance in a TSG Hoffenheim shirt. The captain marked the occasion by scoring the opening goal (22).

Match highlights
The biggest chance of the game so far: a corner-kick is taken short and Grillitsch crosses from a centre-right position into the middle. Georginio jumps to meet the ball but heads narrowly wide from seven metres out.
Following a corner-kick, Raum fizzes the ball into the centre. Hübner's header strikes the crossbar and the ball bounces down and hits Ortega on the back before rebounding over the line. TSG lead deservedly.
Almost the equaliser out of nothing: Serra gets the better of Grillitsch but fails to beat Baumann. The follow-up is initially cleared off the line by Vogt, before Bebou blocks another follow-up attempt close to the goal-line. Deep breath!
The game is picking up speed. Nice attack down the right by TSG. Dabbur switches the play across to Raum on the right, who spots Baumgartner in the middle. A Bielefeld player intervenes at the last moment, however, before Hübner heads over from a corner. Almost 2-0.
A deflected Raum cross flies across the penalty area. Dabbur flicks it on at the front post and the ball arcs up in the air before landing on the crossbar. Ortega probably had it covered though.
Almost 2-0. Samassékou seizes the loose ball after a corner and passes into the centre. Baumgartner attempts an artistic flick, but Ortega somehow has the corner covered and makes a strong save.
Ortega initially makes a strong save to stop Georginio from making it 2-0. But then Dabbur crosses the ball back into the middle and this time the Frenchman leaves Ortega no chance with a left-footed strike.
A big chance to make it 3-0: Geiger crosses the ball into the middle following a corner, but Baumgartner heads just over!
