Sebastian Rudy: "We really asserted ourselves, put Hertha under pressure and forced them into many misplaced passes. It feels good to have scored my second goal of the season. After Robert Skov's superb shot hit the post, I just needed to be in the right position and tap the ball in. It was a little bit of game management from us in the second half, but the victory is highly deserved. We're obviously delighted that things are currently going so well at home. It's a great feeling."
Robert Skov: "It was a good team performance. We battled for each other. We're very happy today, it's a great feeling. We wanted to play with courage and attack. I'm obviously delighted that I was able to play the 90 minutes and help the team. We want to keep working hard and build on this performance in the coming weeks."
Andrej Kramarić: "I don't know why it is that I score so often against Hertha BSC. I don't do anything differently compared to the other games. I have set up a lot of goals this season; that delights me as much as scoring myself. The main thing is that we win. We want to keep improving our standing in the table. We have a strong team and we now need to show that every week. That has to be our goal."
Sebastian Hoeness: "Berlin pressed us high in the opening minutes, that totally surprised us. Both we and Hertha had a major chance to take the lead right at the beginning. Things got better for us after that. We wanted to attack their goal at speed and then showed a certain effectiveness. All things considered, the score at the break was deserved. We had the game under control in the second half without creating the chances from the first half. The game was all over after the dismissal."
Pal Dardai (Hertha BSC coach): "From my perspective, we started the game well and caught the opposition by surprise. Our early pressing was successful. Unfortunately, we didn't take our first big chance, whereas Hoffenheim did. We wanted to go on the attack again after the break and take risks. Unfortunately, we hardly managed to create any opportunities. We were not positioned well for the goals we conceded. With that in mind, it was a deserved win for Hoffenheim."
