Fan information for the match away to BVB

On Friday 27 August, TSG Hoffenheim will face Borussia Dortmund in a Bundesliga Matchday 3 fixture (20:30 CET). We have compiled all the most important information for your visit to Signal Iduna Park below.

Travel

Rail:

ICE connections from the east (Berlin, Wolfsburg, Hanover, Bielefeld) and south (Mainz, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Munich). IC connections from the north (Hamburg and Bremen) every hour. From the main station, you can either take the regional train to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK station or the underground to Westfalenhalle/Stadion.

For free return travel on the day of the event on VRR, WestfalenTarif, VRS, AVV public transport (2nd class), a separate ticket is mandatory for Print@Home tickets, which can be obtained free of charge at kombiticket.dsw21.de. The respective tariff regulations apply.

Car & bus:

From the north: A1  -> Dortmund-Unna  -> A44/B1 -> Dortmund

From the east: A2 -> Dortmund-Nordost -> B236 -> B1 -> Dortmund

from the south: A45 -> Dortmund-Süd -> B54 -> Dortmund

From the west: A40/B1 -> Dortmund

There are numerous paid parking facilities available around Signal Iduna Park and the Westfalenhallen (see grey shaded areas on the attached map). Parking areas E1-E3 are provided for guests. Parking fees are €25 for buses and €7 for cars, minibuses over 2.8 tonnes pay €15.

Stadium

Glass bottles are forbidden in and around the stadium.

The stadium will open 2.5 hours before kick-off. 

Blocks 08, 60 and 61 (seating) in the lower tier of the north stand are for away fans. Admission is via time slots, which are printed on tickets. Within the guest blocks, the entrances and exits must be kept clear.

Away fans are allowed the following items:

  • Flags (max. 1.5m pole length)
  • Railing banners (if space is available)
  • Digital cameras and cameras (for private use only - no professional equipment, no interchangeable lenses)

Not allowed:

  • Camera tripods
  • Pyrotechnics of any kind
  • Bags, cloth bags, rucksacks larger than DIN A4 size
  • Bottles
  • Drinks and food of all kinds
  • Selfie sticks
  • Swivel flags
  • Megaphone
  • Drums
  • Double holders

It is possible to hand in bags and rucksacks that exceed the DIN A4 size at the "drop-off point away fans" for €0.50. This is located opposite the away entrance on the north side of the stadium. After the end of the match, the "drop-off point away fans" will be open for another 30 minutes so that deposited bags can be collected.

There is no alcohol limit at Signal Iduna Park. However, Borussia Dortmund's security staff reserve the right to refuse entry to visibly intoxicated spectators.

Payment at the kiosks is only possible in cashless form.

Each row of seats will be individually escorted to the exit after the final whistle.

Covid regulations

The 2G rule applies to match day in Dortmund!

Masks (medical mask or FFP2 mask) are compulsory in the entire stadium grounds and inside the stadium. The mask can only be removed from the seat allocated by ticketing.

Food and beverages may only be consumed in your own seat. No food or drink may be brought into the stadium. Only children under the age of seven are exempt from the obligation to wear a mask.

GG evidence

Before entering the stadium, proof of full vaccination or recovery from a SARS-CoV-2 infection is required.

  • Vaccinated: from day 15 after completed full vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine licensed in the European Union. Valid until one year after completion of full vaccination.
  • Recovered: from day 28 and up to 6 months after a positive PCR test result
  • Recovered + vaccinated: evidence of a positive test result in conjunction with evidence of at least 14 days of administration of at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19 with a vaccine licensed in the European Union.

GG proof must be presented digitally in the Corona-Warn app or the CovPass app incl. photo ID via QR code. IMPORTANT: Only digital GG proofs are accepted.

The "GG control points" are located at various positions around the stadium. After the "GG control" has been carried out, a control wristband will be handed out. Every stadium visitor must make an active effort to obtain a control wristband before entering the stadium. Admission to the stadium will not be granted without a control wristband.

Children up to the age of six and adolescents who are not yet allowed to be vaccinated or who have not yet been vaccinated must carry a negative test result from no more than 48 hours ago.

There will be no opportunity to get tested in the stadium!

Since the 2019/2020 season, some of the stewards have been equipped with a so-called "body flag". This enables the stewards to support the paramedics in the event of a medical accident in the standing area stands, including in the away block. In the future, stewards in the stadium entrances and near the pitch will also be equipped with body flags, which will help guide paramedics to the scene of an emergency.
