Hard-fought draw in Bielefeld

TSG Hoffenheim took their points tally for the season to 40 by drawing 1-1 (1-1) away to Arminia Bielefeld on Bundesliga Matchday 33. Andrej Kramarić fired TSG into an early lead with his 19th goal of the season, but Andreas Voglsammer restored parity for Bielefeld before the break. Hoffenheim will finish off their season with a home game against Hertha BSC next Saturday.

Personnel & tactics:

Head coach Sebastian Hoeness made two injury-enforced changes to the starting XI that had beaten FC Schalke 04 4-2 in the previous round. Philipp Pentke replaced Oliver Baumann between the sticks. The back four of Pavel Kadeřábek, Stefan Posch, Kevin Akpoguma and Ryan Sessegnon was unchanged, as was the defensive midfield partnership of Florian Grillitsch and Diadie Samassékou. Sargis Adamyan came in for Christoph Baumgartner and started in attacking midfield alongside Andrej Kramarić, who was wearing the captain's armband, and Robert Skov. Ihlas Bebou was the lone frontman.

TSG made a double substitution in the 62nd minute, bringing on Mijat Gaćinović and Marco John for Skov and Sessegnon. Akpoguma had to be subbed off with an injury only four minutes later and was replaced by Kevin Vogt at the heart of defence (66). Georginio Rutter then replaced Adamyan in the closing stages (83).

Moment of the match:

The 75th minute: Florian Grillitsch switched the play brilliantly and Pavel Kadeřábek spotted the unmarked Andrej Kramarić, but Stefan Ortega made a strong reflex save to keep out the Croat's diving header.

Number of the game: 19

The opening goal was the 19th time Andrej Kramarić has scored in this Bundesliga season. That means he has beaten Vedad Ibisevic's club record of 18 goals from the 2008/09 campaign and has now scored more goals in a single Bundesliga season than any other Hoffenheim player in history.

Line-ups:

Arminia Bielefeld: Ortega – Brunner, Pieper, Nilsson, Lucoqui – Prietl, Maier (Kunze, 89) – Doan (Schipplock, 89), Okugawa (Hartel, 79), Voglsammer (Soukou, 79) – Klos

TSG Hoffenheim: Pentke – Kadeřábek, Posch, Akpoguma (Vogt, 66), Sessegnon (John, 62) – Samassékou, Grillitsch – Skov (Gaćinović, 62), Kramarić, Adamyan (Rutter, 83) – Bebou

Goals: 0-1 Kramarić (5), 1-1 Voglsammer (23)
