#FCBTSG: Confident mood ahead of trip to record champions

Following their recent run, which saw them rack up two clean-sheet victories and seven points during the English week, TSG Hoffenheim will travel to Munich for their first away game of the second half-season in confident mood. Below, we have all the important facts and figures for the meeting with FC Bayern Munich (Saturday at 15:30 CET/Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de).

Did you know that…

…TSG would set a club record if they keep another clean sheet?

By keeping three clean sheets in a row (0-0 against Bielefeld, plus 3-0 victories against Hertha BSC and 1. FC Cologne respectively), the team equalled their record shut-out streak from August/September 2009.

…Bayern have equalled a Bundesliga record by scoring 53 goals in their first 18 matches – an average of 2.94 per game?

No club has ever found the net more often in the Bundesliga's 57-year history. Only Borussia Dortmund (1963/64) and Werder Bremen (1985/86) had previously managed 53 goals by this stage of a season.

…TSG have an even head-to-head record over the last nine meetings?

Since the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign, Hoffenheim have picked up 13 points against the record champions (W4 D1) – more than any other club in the division.

…Andrej Kramarić and Robert Lewandowski are the most prolific penalty takers in the Bundesliga?

Both players have converted 91% of their spot-kicks. Kramarić has scored 20 of his 22 penalties, while Lewandowski has converted 32 of his 35 attempts. No player in Bundesliga history who has taken at least 22 penalties has a better conversion ratio.

…Oliver Baumann is the most successful Bundesliga goalkeeper when it comes to saving penalties?

Since data collection started in 2011, nobody has saved more penalties than the Hoffenheim custodian, who has kept out nine spot-kicks.

…it's no small feat to beat FC Bayern two times in a single season?

If TSG Hoffenheim win in Munich, they would become the first club since the 2010/11 season (Mönchengladbach / Dortmund) to pick up six points against the record champions.

…Hoffenheim have a better record than the league leaders when it comes to defending set-pieces?

To date, TSG have conceded six goals from dead balls and only one from corner-kicks. The Bavarians, meanwhile, have already let in four goals from corners and seven goals in total from set-pieces.
