SGE: Immense quality in every position

Eintracht Frankfurt have a problem. And it's one that both fans and club officials would not have thought possible just a short while ago: there are too many good players in the squad. The luxury of choice is giving Adi Hütter selection headaches. The coach, though, is obviously delighted with the wealth of talent at his disposal, especially in attacking positions. The Eagles have found the net seven times in their past two games as they have racked up two wins by a three-goal margin (4-1 against Shakhtar Donetsk, 3-0 against Hannover). Luca Jovic is the Bundesliga's top scorer with 15 goals, while fellow forwards Ante Rebic (eight goals) and Sébastien Haller (11) are equally dangerous and on-form.

Whether the trio will start the clash against an offense-oriented TSG remains to be seen, with the more defensive-minded Mijat Gacinovic a top-notch alternative for Hütter in attack. But Frankfurt's qualities are by no means limited to their strikeforce. Kevin Trapp offers a safe pair of hands between the sticks, while there is even stiffer competition for places in defence following the winter arrival of Martin Hinteregger. The Austrian is battling former Hoffenheim man David Abraham, Makoto Hasebe and Evan Ndicka for the three available central defensive berths. Hasebe has the potential to move forward into midfield, where there is also top-quality competition in the form of Sebastian Rode.

Kostic eagerly anticipating TSG clash

Eintracht are similar to TSG in that they often like to play down the flanks, where Filip Kostic – a summer arrival from Hamburg – has been a standout performer for the Eagles. Hütter is an admirer of the left-winger, who he has moved back into a more defensive role: "He has the potential to step up in matches and makes an impact on the pitch. He's now playing in a position that nobody believed he could and he's in an excellent physical condition," explained Hütter to "kicker" magazine.

TSG, who have traditionally been one of the Serb's favourite foes, should take note. He has already scored three and set up two against the Kraichgau club during his spells with Hamburg and VfB Stuttgart.
