Robert Skov leaves TSG

Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim and Robert Skov are set to part ways. Following five years with the Kraichgau club, the multiple-time Denmark international has made the decision to take on a new challenge in the summer. His contract expires on 30 June 2024.

"Robert will not only be remembered at TSG for his exceptional left foot and his fantastic shooting technique, but also for his wonderful character," said Alexander Rosen, the Managing Director for Sport at TSG, who continued: "We did of course discuss extending his contract over the course of last season. Especially after rejecting an offer for Robert from a Champions League participant only a year ago, we could have envisaged continuing our collaboration under certain conditions," explained Rosen. "Now Robert is leaving us after a valuable period for both parties and we wish him all the best for his sporting and personal future."

"I would like to say thank-you for my wonderful time in Hoffenheim. I came to TSG from Copenhagen five years ago and was able to experience many wonderful moments here and have lasting experiences together with everyone," said Robert Skov, adding: "I got to know an outstanding club with equally outstanding people and have made friends for life."

Robert Skov joined TSG from FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2019. He made 114 Bundesliga appearances (11 goals/19 assists) and played six DFB-Pokal matches. A serious thigh injury kept him out of action for four months in the 2021/22 season. At European level, he appeared in six Europa League matches (one goal). In his 14 international appearances for Denmark to date, the Dane has scored seven goals and was a World Cup participant for his homeland in Qatar in 2022.
