Line-up
Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo made two changes to the starting XI after the 4-1 defeat away to 1 FSV Mainz 05. Umut Tohumcu and Robert Skov came in for David Jurásek and Anton Stach.
The scenario
TSG came into Matchday 30 in ninth place in the table with 36 points. Borussia Mönchengladbach were two places and five points behind them.
Moment of the match
The winning goal. After a late equaliser by ex-Hoffenheim player Robin Hack (89), it looked like the points would be shared, but Ihlas Bebou dribbled his way into space on the left of the penalty area in stoppage time and laid the ball back to Anton Stach, who scored a much-celebrated winner with the inside of his foot (90+1).
Number of the game: 250
The 4-3 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach was Andrej Kramarić's 250th appearance in the Bundesliga. All of them have been in a TSG shirt.
Best individual effort
In the 66th minute, Ozan Kabak plucked up courage and set off on a mazy run. The defender glided past two Gladbach defenders before firing the ball into the back of the net from over 20 metres out.

TSG Hoffenheim are back in action on Friday, when they travel to VfL Bochum. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:30 CET.

Match highlights
Kadeřábek almost puts TSG in front
The best chance of the match so far: Kabak dribbles into the box, only to find his path blocked by Gladbach defenders. He improvises with a backheel to Kadeřábek, who gets off a shot with his left foot, but Nicolas reacts well to make the save.
Weigl's effort too central
Gladbach come close from a corner. It's played short to Hack, who whips a low cross into the area. The ball lands at the feet of Weigl, whose effort from close range is too near to Baumann.
Beier hits the woodwork
Prömel plays a delightful ball into the area from the half-space on the right. Beier is at the far post and gets a head on the ball. Much to Nicolas's relief, it strikes the post. The Gladbach keeper would have had no chance with that one.
Weghorst opens the scoring
A counter-attack leads to the opening goal: Grillitsch does well to win possession, he shifts the ball to Kramaric, who breaks forward and plays in Weghorst. The Dutchman keeps his cool in front of Nicolas and slots the ball home with his left foot.
Hack grabs an equaliser
Gladbach don't take long to respond: TSG give the ball away in midfield and are punished for it. Plea lays it off to Hack, who shrugs off the challenge of Drexler before finishing into the near corner.
Skov comes close
A free-kick in a promising position for TSG. Skov steps up to try his luck, but his effort fires just wide. Nicolas was stranded there.
Nicolas makes the save
The next big chance for TSG: Kramarić finds himself in space in the penalty area and curls an effort towards the far post, but Nicolas extends himself to make a fingertips save.
A double chance for Hoffenheim
A massive chance to get back in front: Beier delivers the ball centrally with the outside of his foot. Weghorst hits the post, the rebound falls to Kramarić, whose effort is saved by Nicolas.
Prömel puts TSG back in front
What a strike! Prömel receives a pass from Skov about 35 metres out from goal. He drives forward and drills an unstoppable effort into the corner of the net. A fantastic goal.
Lainer hits the post
Now it's Gladbach's turn to be denied by the upright: first Plea's effort is blocked, then Lainer strikes the woodwork from a tight angle.
Ozan Kabak with the thunderbolt
An unbelievable individual effort from Ozan Kabak: the defender wins the ball in midfield, dribbles past two opponents, then hammers the ball into the back of the net from over 20 metres out.
Hack pulls one back
Gladbach find a responce once again. A cross from out wide on the left is overhit, but Scally picks up the ball on the right and delivers a cross towards the far post, where Hack is in acres of space and can nod the ball home with ease.
The equaliser
Hoffenheim are able to clear a corner to safety, but Hack wins the second ball and plays it back in towards goal. It doesn't look threatening, but Baumann is caught napping and the ball ends up in the back of the net.
Stach puts TSG back in front
What is going on here? Bebou dribbles his way into space down the left and lays the ball inside to Stach, who is completely free and has time to find the far corner with the inside of his foot.
