Calendar for the 2023/24 season announced

The calendar for the 2023/24 season, which will serve as a rough framework for the coming campaign, has been set and published by the DFL: the Bundesliga will start in mid-August, and Matchday 17 is not set to take place until January.

The German Football League (DFL) on Friday (9 December) announced the calendar for the 2023/24 season. That means the most important dates for next season are already set in stone. The Bundesliga will kick off with Matchday 1 on 18 August 2023. The season will then end exactly nine months later  with Matchday 34 on 18 May 2024.

But TSG Hoffenheim will play their first competitive match of the 2023/24 campaign in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on 11-14 August. The final of the competition has been scheduled for 25 May 2024.

There will also be an unusual feature next season: the calendar year will not end with Matchday 17 as it usually does, but after the 16th round of matches on 20 December. The final matchday of the first half-season is planned for 12 January.

You will find the entire schedule here.
