Fan information for the game away to FC Schalke 04

The Hoffenheim fan representatives have put together all the most important information to prepare fans travelling to the game away to FC Schalke 04 (Friday, 20:30 CET, liveticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de).

Transport and parking

Train:

Train journey to Gelsenkirchen main station. If necessary, shuttle buses to the VELTINS Arena will be available at the southern exit of the station. These will take you to the Gelsenwasser car park.

People with limited mobility can reach the stadium with tram line 302 via the "Willy-Brandt-Allee" stop.

Car:

Coming from the A2: Exits 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) and 7 (Herten).

Coming from the A42: Exit 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke)

The route to the stadium is signposted from the exits.

Parking:

The parking spaces for away fans are accessed via "Berni-Klodt-Weg". Cars turn right into car park E2. The parking fee is 5 euros per vehicle and will be collected at the exit after the match. Those who drive into the car park two hours before kick-off will receive an exit ticket and may park free of charge.

Coaches:

The parking spaces for away coaches are accessed via "Berni-Klodt-Weg". Buses should turn left there into the Gelsenwasser car park, where there is a 20 euro parking fee.

Fan paraphernalia:

The following items are permitted in the away section at Schalke:

  • Fence flags/banners
  • Flags up to 2m pole length
  • 10 double holders

 Stadium opening and ticket office:

The stadium will open two hours before kick-off at 18:30 CET.

There will not be a ticket office open on matchday. 

Blood alcohol limit:

The blood alcohol limit for admission is 1.6 per mille, random checks will be carried out.

Hospitality:

Cashless payment is possible in the VELTINS Arena with the Knappenkarte. Alternatively, payment by EC, debit or credit card as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay can be made quickly and easily by contactless means.

Bag deposit:

  • Free baggage drop-off at the South Entrance and East 2.
  • Backpacks and bags (larger than DIN-A4) are not allowed in the stadium.

#stehauf help desk:

  • Located at the back of the Schalke Museum, accessible via staircase 13.
  • Also accessible for away fans
  • Counselling centre and contact point for people who have become victims of discriminatory, racist and sexist behaviour or violence at Schalke.
  • Reporting point for violations of the S04 mission statement and stadium regulations.
  • If desired: referral to appropriate specialist and counselling centres.
  • A place to record and evaluate incidents.
