DFB-Pokal: Hoffenheim draw Schalke 04
The draw for the second round of the DFB-Pokal took place on Sunday evening: TSG Hoffenheim will face FC Schalke 04 at the PreZero Arena. The second round matches will be played on 18 and 19 October.
Paralympic swimmer Josia Topf drew TSG Hoffenheim a home game. FC Schalke 04 will be the second opponent for coach André Breitenreiter's team in the cup this season after SV Rödinghausen, who were overcome in the opening round (2-0 AET). The TSG head coach will therefore be going up against his former club, with the cup clash coming the weekend after the match-up with the Royal Blues in the Bundesliga.
The precise scheduling of the cup round will take place in the coming days. Information on the advance sale of tickets will follow in calendar week 37.
