MVV to continue powering TSG

The Mannheim-based energy company MVV is to remain TSG Hoffenheim's official energy partner for the years to come. The partnership between the two organisations has been extended until the end of the 2021/22 season.

For many years, MVV has supplied the club's facilities with environmentally friendly energy, while also operating the biomass heating plant at the PreZero Arena. In addition, the company works closely with the club in various non-football related social projects in the Rhine-Neckar region.

''There is much that connects TSG and MVV. Both organisations are deeply rooted in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, while also successfully extending their activities further afield,'' says Dr. Peter Görlich, managing director at TSG Hoffenheim. ''We are absolutely delighted that MVV will continue to stand by our side.'' As a result of the stadium's recent name change to the PreZero Arena, the MVV company logo will no longer be displayed on the outer facade of the building, but this doesn't stop MVV managing director Dr. Georg Müller from singing the praises of the long-term partnership between the two organisations: ''TSG's awe-inspiring football and exemplary commitment to social causes means the club is an important ambassador for the region. Our cooperation ties together our shared focus on sustainability as well as environmental and climate protection.''

With around 6,000 employees, MVV is one of Germany's leading energy companies and therefore an ideal partner for the club within the energy sector. The company is involved in all levels of the value chain - ranging from energy generation, energy trading, energy distribution, private networks, distribution as well as energy services. As a pioneer in the domain of energy transition, MVV is focused on continuing the growth of renewable energy sources as well as improving energy efficiency. MVV works with private customers, diverse businesses of various sizes in diverse sectors as well as public institutions, offering them a broad range of products and services for an environmentally friendly and sustainable energy supply.
