TSG players on international duty - Vestergaard and Casteels could make debuts

Manager Markus Gisdol will be without a few first-team players in training this week as twelve of his players have been called up for international duty. After injuries to Eugen Polanski and Kevin Volland, that number has been reduced to ten.

There will be a head-to-head clash for Fabian Johnson and Sejad Salihovic. A friendly in Sarajevo will see the USA face Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, August 14th at 20:35 CET. Tarik Elyounoussi will take to the field for Norway in their friendly against Scandinavian rivals Sweden in Solna, a game that will also take place on Wednesday (20:00 CET).

On his second inclusion with the Belgium team, Koen Casteels is in with a chance of making his debut on Wednesday (21:00 CET) against France in Brussels. Jannik Vestergaard may also don his country's colours for the first time after being called up by national manager Morten Olsen for Denmark's friendly against Poland on Wednesday (20:45 CET). A thigh strain left Eugen Polanski unavailable for selection.

Volland returns after injury

Kevin Volland was forced to leave the Germany U21 camp on Monday. The Hoffenheim attacker is struggling with a calf strain and will miss the game against France on Tuesday (20:30 CET). Kenan Karaman has also been selected for his country's U21 side, as Turkey take on Poland in a European Championship qualifier in Warsaw on Tuesday.

Germany's U20 team will face Luxembourg on Wednesday (11:00 CET) for a friendly. Jeremy Toljan and Patrick Schorr are involved, while Niklas Süle and Kevin Akpoguma will be involved for Germany's U19 team in Hungary on Wednesday.
