Stani: 0-0 a fair result

1899 Hoffenheim were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Hannover 96 today. Find out here what the managers and players of the two sides had to say about the result.

Holger Stanislawski: We had a lot of possession in the fist half, and our build-up play was good. Our final pass was lacking today, however. There are positives to take from the performance though, particularly in the first period. 0-0 was a fair result for both teams.

Mirko Slomka: Considering we played with a new formation, we gave a good account of ourselves. Hoffenheim are technically a string team, so we wanted to make sure we were compact and organised. Up front we had plenty of energy and enthusiasm, but lacked a little spark. After a week of bad news regarding injuries, it's a good pint to take here and it will give us encouragement for the coming week.

Andreas Beck: We could have made more of our dominance in the fist half and could have won the game in that first period. But overall I think we can be satisfied with our performance. We had an improvised defence today and everyone had a solid game.; the two guys in the centre of defence for us were fantastic.

Jannik Vestergaard: We were excellent in the first half, but unfortunately didn't find the net. If we can replicate today's first half performance in the next few games, we'll definitely climb the table.

Moritz Stoppelkamp: I think we can be pleased with the performance, and we were missing a lot of important players today.
