Bem-vindo Lucas Ribeiro
TSG had already contracted the emerging Brazilian talent at the end of the Winter transfer market, but Ribeiro has spent the last few weeks out on international duty with the U20 Brazil national side, competing in the South American Championship in Chile. His team finished the tournament in fifth place, with the Ecuador U20s ultimately lifting the trophy.
''In our strategic squad planning, we try not to restrict our sights to the present; we always want to have an eye on the future too,'' said director of football Alexander Rosen in January upon the signing of the highly-promising defensive player, who, according to Rosen, ''possesses exciting qualities which we want to carefully develop further."
Lucas Ribeiro will now undergo internal tests at the training complex in Zuzenhausen before being integrated in the first team's training programme in the weeks to come. The 1.9m tall Ribeiro will wear the number 31 on the back of his TSG jersey.
