Friendlies against Verona and Bilbao for TSG

On Saturday, 6th August, TSG will host the "2016 season opener presented by WIRSOL". As part of this event, manager Julian Nagelsmann’s team will go up against Chievo Verona at 15:00 CEST at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena. Like in previous years, entry to the match is covered by a season ticket. Before kick-off against the club from Italy’s Serie A, TSG and their sponsors will be putting on numerous attractions from 11:00 CEST for fans of all ages. The day will be rounded up with an autograph session with the first team.

Another tough test awaits TSG on Friday, 12th August. At 19:00 CEST, they will face one of the top teams from the Spanish Primera División, Athletic Bilbao, at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena. Ticketing Information for this match will be announced online soon. Last season’s fifth-place team in the Spanish league will be the final friendly opponents, before TSG meet Regionalliga side FC Germania Egestorf/Langreder in the first round of the DFB Cup the following weekend.

Preparation will begin on 3rd July at 15:00 CEST for Julian Nagelsmann and his team, in their first training session at their training centre in Zuzenhausen. Because of the UEFA U19 European Championship final, which will take place at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on 24th July, the public presentation of the team at the "2016 season opener presented by WIRSOL" has been set for 6th August.

TSG’s seven-week preparation begins next Monday (4th July), in the heart of the Bavarian Alps. The team will travel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in order to lay the foundations for the new season. In their second training camp, at the end of July, TSG will also be based in the Alps: In the Austrian town of Bad Häring (Tirol), the team will fine tune their final details for the coming season.

25th-31st July: Training camp in Bad Häring (Tirol)
6th August: 2016 season opener presented by WIRSOL (WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena, including a friendly against Chievo Verona form 11:00 CEST)
12th August: Friendly against Athletic Bilbao (19:00 CEST, WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena)
