Anthony Modeste suspended for two games
TSG striker Anthony Modeste is suspended for two matches following proceedings by the DFB Sporting Court on Monday morning. The forward was shown red by referee Florian Meyer in the match against Frankfurt on Saturday after a foul.
TSG have already accepted the punishment. The attacker will therefore not be available for manager Markus Gisdol for the last two matches of the season against Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Braunschweig.
The sporting court explained that “the act of violent conduct was treated as a very mild case and was Modeste's first appearance in front of the sporting court”.
