Casteels and Grahl extend contracts at TSG
Casteels moved to the Kraichgau in 2011 from Belgian first-division outfit KRC Genk. After a year with the U23s, Casteels made the step up to the first team in 2012/13 – initially as the number two. The 21-year-old is now the regular Bundesliga keeper for manager Markus Gisdol.
Casteels has played 27 top-flight matches so far. On top of that, the Belgian has also made the jump into the senior national side and is hopeful of a place in the squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Jens Grahl joined Hoffenheim in 2009. He spent the 2011/12 campaign on loan at second-division side SC Paderborn. Even though he has played most of his football in the fourth tier for the U23s (40 appearances), Grahl is very much a part of the first team. He made his professional debut for the club in September, during TSG's 3-0 win (a.e.t) in the second round of the German Cup against Energie Cottbus.
