Babbel named new 1899 coach
Markus Babbel has been appointed the new manager of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim after previous head coach Holger Stanislawski was relieved of his duties on Thursday. Babbel will be assisted by Rainer Widmayer, who previously worked with him at Hertha BSC and VfB Stuttgart.
Both men have signed a contract until 2014 and will take charge of the squad for the first time for the upcoming Bundesliga game away at Werder Bremen on Saturday (11th February, 3.30 pm).
