Stani and Labbadia – a mutual respect
In the Bundesliga, they're fierce rivals. But off the pitch, there's a mutual friendship between Stuttgart manager Bruno Labbadia and his counterpart at Hoffenheim, Holger Stanislawski. The two men were guests on Uwe Ralf Heer's Sportforum this week.
Among the 450 guests for the event were fans of both Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, and the witnessed a show of respect between the two clubs. “We would like to have the stability that VfB Stuttgart have”, admitted Stanislawski. Labbadia received the praise gratefully and went on to explain his vision for VfB. “We've just had one of our hardest years this club has ever had to endure. For now we just want to consolidate where we are.” Both sides were on the end of a loss in their last Bundesliga fixture but will be hoping to return to winning ways when the Bundesliga returns a week on Friday, after the international break.
