Hoffenheim capture Sandro Wieser

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have completed the signing of Sandro Wieser from Swiss side F.C. Basel. The 18-year-old has signed a contract with the Sinsheim outfit until June 2016 and will wear the squad number 27.

Wieser emerged in the youth ranks at Basel and forced his way into the first team squad at the beginning of the year, as the club went on to win the Swiss Axpo Super League title. Born in Lichtenstein, the midfielder previously spent three years at FC Vaduz in his home city, and has earned call-ups to the Lichtenstein U-21 and A-squads.

1899's General Manager Ernst Tanner has expressed his delight in acquiring the youngster. “We're pleased to be able to tie down, on a long-term contract, a German-speaking player who is also a top talent. He already has experience of international football with his country, despite his young age, and has already proved his potential. Here he will find the perfect conditions to continue his development and establish himself in the Bundesliga.”
