Moerstedt reaches the semi-finals with Germany U19s
The TSG Hoffenheim first-team squad is on holiday – with the exception of Max Moerstedt. The forward is currently taking part in the U19 European Championships with Germany. He can look forward to playing in a semi-final.
With five minutes to go, it looked like it was all over for the German U19 national team. Coach Hanno Balitsch’s side were trailing 1-0 in their final group match against Norway, but they turned the game around in the dying minutes to win 2-1 and advance to the semi-finals.
Max Moerstedt, who is representing TSG Hoffenheim at the tournament, set up the equaliser and played a big part in the young German team’s late success. Moerstedt and his teammates will face Spain in the semi-finals on Monday (17:00 CEST).
