Franziska Kipper-Schreyer appointed new Head of Communications
In her new role, Kipper-Schreyer will be responsible for all of TSG Hoffenheim's internal and external communications - including all digital channels and print publications. The main focus will be on strategy development for all communication measures as well as the Bundesliga club's brand and target group-orientated media positioning.
The 44-year-old brings with her extensive experience from senior communications positions in business and media - particularly with regard to complex strategic communication, repositioning, transformation and brands. She was Head of Corporate Communications at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for almost ten years. She has also worked for PAYBACK, Breuninger and Stern magazine. Most recently, she was responsible for the global communications activities of Freudenberg Home & Cleaning Solutions as Director Global Communications. Kipper-Schreyer studied communication science, business administration and modern German literature in Mannheim and Munich and is a trained systems coach.
"In Franziska Kipper-Schreyer, TSG have gained a highly experienced communications expert and value-orientated leader. She brings strategic vision and innovative strength - a strong voice for the future of our club communication," says Markus Schütz, Chairman of the TSG Management Board, adding: "Clarity, attitude and a keen sense for people and topics are crucial, especially in times of change - this is what she stands for as the new Head of Communication and member of the TSG Management Board."
Franziska Kipper-Schreyer says of her new role: "Communication in football is special - it speaks to people emotionally, connects and has an impact far beyond the pitch. At the same time, it is more than just press relations and must constantly adapt to dynamic conditions. Communication is a key lever for building trust, creating identification and shaping change. TSG Hoffenheim stands for courage and development. I am very much looking forward to continuing and expanding this positioning with my team in terms of communication."
With this change, TSG Hoffenheim are sending a further signal for their continuous professionalisation in management and the strategic further development of the club as a strong brand in German football. Kipper-Schreyer fills the last open position on the management board. The TSG management team is now complete in time for the start of the new Bundesliga season. Asmahan Gamgami joined as Head of People & Culture at the beginning of May, followed by Melanie Fichtner for IT & Digital & AI in April. Henrik Westerberg started as Managing Director Operations last autumn. The four managing directors are the link between the management and organisation of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim Fußball-Spielbetriebs GmbH.
