Vincent Wagner: "I want us to play bold football"

Vincent Wagner came to TSG from Rot-Weiss Essen in the summer of 2022. In the first two seasons under his leadership, the TSG Hoffenheim Under-23s finished third in the Regionalliga Südwest - a result which had only been achieved once before in the past twelve years. 

Now he and the ambitious TSG juniors have managed to make the leap into the third league. In the TSG podcast, "One village is the world", he spoke about the team's promotion, the third league, what success means to him, and how he always wants the team to play bold and attractive football. 

The former RW Essen and KFC Uerdingen player began his coaching journey as co-coach for the FC Kray Under-19s (2014-17). He went on to work with the juniors at VfL Bochum (2017-18), MSV Duisburg (2018-21) and RW Essen, before coming to TSG.
