Baumann: "I'm proud of the team"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the 1-1 draw at Bayern Munich.

Andrej Kramarić: "We went to Munich and dreamed of coming away with something. It was a difficult match. Bayern Munich are one of the best teams in the world. We were considerably better in the second half and produced a super performance. We gave away little and knew that we would get our chance. I'm ecstatic about my goal. We even had a counter and perhaps could have scored a second goal. But when you're playing in Munich, you can be satisfied with a point. The most important thing was that we didn't concede any more goals. You need some luck in Munich, we had that. Before the free-kick, there was a very minor contact in a very dangerous area. I knew that it would be a goalscoring chance and had to go down. That was clever in the situation."

Oliver Baumann: "I have to compliment the team. That was a big point and it feels very good and very positive. The way we played and created goalscoring chances here, the way we defended everything and threw ourselves at every ball – that just shows our character. And that is top. I'm proud of the team. We didn't start the match so well but then caught ourselves and changed our build-up play. We all threw ourselves into the game, it was crazy. Everyone was done after the game, we couldn't celebrate at all. But we're mega happy and I hope we'll carry forward the confidence we currently have. That was brutal work today. But you saw we still had the courage to play football. For the young players in particular, it is not to be taken for granted that you play so well in such a situation."

Ihlas Bebou: "Every point counts in our situation. Drawing 1-1 in Munich is fantastic. This point helps us enormously in the relegation battle. It was a good game and it was very intense. Bayern applied a lot of pressure but we held firm as a team and can be very satisfied with the point. At the break, the coach said we should play with more courage. We did that well after the break, especially in the opening stages. We created several chances; that's why we also deserved to equalise at 1-1. The relegation battle is a challenge for us, but we know the situation we're in. You can see on the pitch that everyone is working for each other and we're playing as a team. That counts in situation like this, that's why we've picked up so many points recently. We have no fear and know how we need to approach games. You can also see that on the pitch every week. We need to continue like this to get out of the situation."

Pellegrino Matarazzo: "We started the game cautiously and allowed ourselves to be pushed back into our own half. The lads wanted to defend everything, but something was missing to relieve the pressure. That's why we also deservedly conceded the goal for 1-0. We showed a completely different energy on the pitch in the second half. As a result, the equaliser was also deserved for me. I'm incredibly delighted for the team."

Thomas Tuchel (FC Bayern Munich coach): "We're of course disappointed. Both by the result and the manner. In the first half, we had too little tempo in our play and made too many mistakes. We only managed to produce the desired performance in very short spells. We then also defended too sloppily in the second half. We only showed a reaction after the equaliser, but even then only in fragments. Even if we had won, it would've hardly changed my impression. The performance was not good enough."
