Quaresma: "We have super conditions here"
Eduardo, we're currently at the training camp in Portugal. How is it to be back in your homeland?
"For me, Portugal is the most beautiful country in the world. I can't describe exactly what is so special, but I just feel comfortable. We have super conditions here at the training camp and can even train in sunshine during the winter. Maybe it will even be possible for my friends or family to come to one of the friendly matches; that would make me very happy."
To what extent are you in demand as a translator and tour guide in your homeland?
"The lads already came to me to ask for a few tips for their free afternoon in the region. In addition, I help them at the buffet with the Portuguese specialties and the things that absolutely have to try."
You moved to TSG on loan in the summer; how do you assess your first six months?
"The first weeks were very difficult for me because I couldn't speak the language, I had just arrived and I needed to get used to the level. But I kept improving in training and was rewarded for that by the coach with playing time. I'm very thankful to him for that and now I'm hungry for more in the second half of the season."
What do you believe is still possible for you in the second half-season?
"In the training camp, we want to lay the foundations to be successful. We were naturally not pleased with the results towards the end of the year. We now want to show that we can do better."
