The Germany U19 national team made a successful start to the Four Nations Tournament in Malta. Coach Guido Streichsbier's team won the opening game against their Polish counterparts by a 3-0 scoreline. Muhammed Damar scored the goal for 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 76th minute, taking his tally to four goals in four matches for the Germany U19s.

Joshua Quarshie and Umut Tohumcu, who have also already made an appearance for the TSG first team and are in the Hoffenheim reserve squad, were also in the starting XI and played a part in the win.
