Olympic canoeing gold-medal winner Ronald Rauhe drew the second round of the DFB-Pokal on ARD's Sportschau on Sunday evening - and handed TSG Hoffenheim a clash with second-tier club Holstein Kiel. The team from northern Germany, who narrowly missed out on promotion last season after defeat to 1. FC Cologne in the relegation play-off, won 4-2 a.e.t, away to Regionalliga side Weiche Flensburg in the first round. Hoffenheim reached the 2nd round with a hard-fought 3-2 a.e.t. win away to third-tier outfit Viktoria Cologne. TSG sporting director Alexander Rosen is looking forward to the match against the semi-finalists from last season: "Holstein Kiel is a tough draw. Last season, the team caused the cup upset par excellence and showed outstanding performances in the league, which were almost enough to promote them up to the Bundesliga. We are not only looking forward to playing in front of our own fans, but also to reuniting with our former players Joshua Mees, Simon Lorenz and Stefan Thesker."

The second round of the DFB-Pokal is scheduled for 26 and 27 October. The exact schedule for all fixtures will follow in due course.

The highlight match of the second round is the meeting between big clubs Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern Munich.
