Not quite over the finish line: Robert Skov and the Danish national team have missed out on the European Championship final. Denmark were beaten 2-1 by England after extra-time in the semi-final. Skov was an unused substitute.

Florian Grillitsch, Christoph Baumgartner and Stefan Posch (Austria), and Andrej Kramarić (Croatia), had earlier been eliminated in the last 16, as had Pavel Kadeřábek (Czechia) in the quarter-final. That means that the EURO final, which will be contested between Italy and England in London on Sunday (21:00 CET), will be without Hoffenheim involvement.
