A big thank you to all fans from TSG Hoffenheim

The atmosphere was excellent, the enthusiasm immense: TSG Hoffenheim's 4-1 (2-0) victory over Bayern Munich marked the first time since 29 February that spectators have been able to join in the excitement at the PreZero Arena. 6,030 fans were there to witness Hoffenheim's outstanding performance on Sunday. It wasn't just an excellent result for the team; the club's fans also distinguished themselves through their outstanding behaviour. TSG Hoffenheim would like to thank all those who attended - and not just for the great support they gave the team.

The first home match in front of fans since the end of February - when Bayern were also the opponents - was a resounding success because all stadium visitors complied with the hygiene and social distancing regulations imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic. ''We would like to thank our fans and spectators for their understanding. They observed the prescribed rules both inside and outside the stadium and thus, in addition to their fantastic support for our team, made an important contribution to the success of the matchday," said TSG managing director Frank Briel on Monday.

It wasn't just the TSG management team who drew a positive conclusion; representatives of the Sinsheim local health authority also were satisfied with the outcome. What is more, the reactions of many spectators showed that the hygiene and social distancing concept were met with clear approval. TSG hope that things will run just as smoothly again at the next home match against Borussia Dortmund on 17 October (Saturday).
