Training to resume subject to conditions

The first team at Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim will return to the Zuzenhausen training centre next week, where they will complete their training sessions on a rolling basis in small groups.

"The squad will train in these small groups, taking into special consideration the current hygiene and conduct guidelines set by the authorities and following the recommendations of the German Football League DFL," said director of football Alexander Rosen. To raise awareness among the players and the immediate staff, TSG have, among other things, produced a video in which team doctor Dr. Ralph Kern and physiotherapist Peter Geigle address the most important measures in specific terms. "In doing so, we wanted to explicitly draw attention to the basic instructions and inform them about changes to the code of conduct when they are at the training centre and when they come into contact with team-mates," said Rosen.

In view of the continued spread of the new coronavirus, the decision had previously been taken at a Members' Meeting of the DFL to postpone sporting competition until 30 April at the least.
