Successful debut in Austria's starting line-up for Posch

While the Bundesliga takes its first break from the 2019/20 season, many players are still in action. A total of 13 players from TSG Hoffenheim's first-team squad have been called up by their countries. Here, achtzehn99.de brings you information about caps won, international matches and game times.

Stefan Posch was named in the Austrian starting line-up for the first time on Monday. The centre-back was called into the first XI for the Euro qualifying clash with Poland in Warsaw as a last-minute replacement for the injured Martin Hinteregger. The TSG star played the full 90 minutes and helped his team on their way to securing a point away to the group leaders. The Austrian media were full of praise for the 22-year-old's performance. Posch's fellow countryman, Florian Grillitsch, remained on the bench for the entirety of the match in Warsaw.

It was a successful evening all round for TSG's Austrian contingent: Christoph Baumgartner and the U21 side triumphed 4-0 away to Albania. The TSG midfielder played the full 90 minutes, providing the assists for his side's first two goals and scoring the third himself.

Wins for Bebou and Kadeřábek

The duo of  Ihlas Bebou and Pavel Kadeřábek enjoyed an equally successful evening on Tuesday: Bebou played the first 45 minutes for Togo as the West African nation beat Comoros 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier, while Czechia claimed a 3-0 away win in Montenegro. Kadeřábek, however, did not feature at all.

In other news, Dennis Geiger missed the Germany U21s' 5-1 win in Wales with a cold.
