Highlights

20th minute: The Bayern defence stands still and Modeste is on his bike. Volland plays the perfect through-ball and our Frenchman converts the one-on-one against Tom Starke. 1-0. High-speed football.

31st minute: FCB fight back. Hoffenheim are too slow and Claudio Pizarro punishes them. 1-1.

34th minute: Urgh, straight from the off. The hosts now lead somehow. Shaqiri gives his side a 2-1 lead.

40th minute: Unbelievable. Every shot finds the net. Pizarro again. That's how quick they can do it. TSG now trail 3-1 somehow.

43th minute: Sejad Salihoooooovic! That's what he's capable of! Free kick. 24 metres. IN. The reply. Now just 3-2. And he's now surpassed Vedad Ibisevic as TSG's top BL scorer with 43 goals in the top flight.

75th minute: TSG are level! Herdling finds Firmino, who leaves Dante in Brazilian knots with his footwork and shoots into the far corner. 3-3. 15 minutes left on the clock…

87th minute: Jens Grahl, you madman! Our keeper keeps his cool in a one-on-one against Arjen Robben and keeps the score level just before the end. Superb!

Quote of the day

At worst, you come here and lose and we have a lot of admiration for Bayern. But we wanted to test out how far we have come with our pressing game and looked to adopt an ‘extreme' playing style. So we pushed our two strikers as far forward as we could and put their centre backs under pressure. Of course, that's a big risk defensively. I'm very happy with how the team played. There was a phase where we couldn't get a grip on the game, but we found it again after half time. It's something very special for us to have scored three goals today and to get a point. It's a great day. (Markus Gisdol)
