Jürgen Klinsmann's USA team – including Fabian Johnson – have qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after a 2-0 win against Mexico on Wednesday. With two games left to play, the USA have secured their spot in the top three and will take part in the tournament held in the country of the five time winners.
Johnson was in the starting eleven and played for the first time since August 2012 as right back. The utility player was subbed off at half time with thigh problems. The goals for the USA came from Eddie Johnson (49') and Landon Donovan (78').
