Stuttgart match reaction

Hoffenheim celebrated their second consecutive victory and their first ever win against VfB Stuttgart. Here is the match reaction to the 3-0 result:

Markus Babbel: If you look at the 90 minutes as a whole, then it was a deserved victory. We were fortunate early on when Ibisevic had a good chance. After that though, we got into the game, we were aggressive and hard-running and we didn't neglect the footballing side of things either. We let our opponents run whilst staying compact and not falling into any passive situations after taking the lead. Once we got to 3-0, it was clear the game was over. I'm pleased that we kept a clean sheet and that we were clinical in front of goal.

Bruno Labbadia: I have to admit that Hoffenheim deservedly won the game. After the opening goal, we completely lost our thread, didn't move enough and therefore had no men open. Our loss of possession played into Hoffenheim's hands. We didn't play as a team today and that made it difficult to win.

Joselu: I am delighted to score my first goal, but also to pay back the trust that the manager has shown in me. It was clear that we were a team that brought out the best of themselves today.

Andreas Beck: The win was a step in the right direction but it is important to continue this on Saturday against Augsburg. First we will celebrate this victory though, because it is a well deserved one.

Fredi Bobic: We have far too few points and have conceded too many goals. We know that the lads can play but today was an inexcusable performance. It was a collective failure.

Sven Ulreich: We can't take on a Bundesliga game in that manner. We missed everything and didn't play well. We have to scrutinize ourselves and I can only apologise to the fans.

Serdar Tasci: We weren't committed enough; we made too many mistakes and conceded cheap goals. We know how hard it is to get out of the bottom half of the table. We must look forward now because the next game is on Saturday.
